You are no doubt aware of the special "e" symbol shown on PNRs indicating that it can be e-ticketed. However, it is important to note that this does not necessarily mean it is acceptable for nett (consolidation) fare e-ticketing.
Guildfare will be responsible for arranging the e-ticket to be generated on your behalf. However, it is your responsibility to ensure that your passengers have access to the itinerary, e-ticket receipt and the various legal notices in accord with IATA and CAA regulations.
The necessary details can easily be obtained by you and/or your customers by reference to www.viewtrip.com (Galileo) or www.virtuallythere.com (Sabre) or www.checkmytrip.com (Amadeus).
If you are queuing a PNR to Guildfare for travel with one of the airlines listed above and you would prefer it to be e-ticketed, please advise us when you queue the booking to us. If we cannot issue it as an e-ticket, we will let you know.
Do remember to check to see if you need to enter a FOID (form of identity) entry into your PNR. Not every airline has the same requirements. For example, to check LH, for Galileo enter GC*LH, for Sabre enter WETP*LH and for Amadeus enter HEETTLH. Alternatively, some airlines have dedicated web sites for Agents, e.g. LH’s www.lufthansa-experts.co.uk and CX’s www.cxagents.com
In these days of high security, do ensure that the name field of the PNR (which should include the passenger's first name) matches the way the name is shown in the passport, or there could be problems with identification on check-in.
E-ticketing allow us to easily arrange ticketing for participating airlines when we have "last minute" orders. No more additional courier expenses and worries that the tickets will not be delivered in good time to the right place! |
